Design Question
How does a private space feel exclusive without showing off?
Site & Context
The Cellar Room is a private residential add-on made of a wine cellar and a cigar room, for owners who want a space of status and privacy that needs an invitation. It is calm, private and never showy.
The idea of embedding wine storage into the stone wall became the project's signature detail, and every later expansion builds on it. The cellar grew step by step: a cigar corner, a serving cabinet, a tasting room with a table and four armchairs, a glazed room for the finest wines and, beyond it, a cheese cellar with a modern shelving system.
Materials & Palette
Natural, rough-cut stone walls run through every room as the signature texture. Dark oak wine racks are set into the stone behind glass doors with a digital climate panel. Dark leather armchairs, a small timber side table and a warm table lamp form the cigar corner. Dark steel frames the glazed wine room, and the floor is dark stone. Light is low, warm cellar light, calm and inviting.
